Our Legacy

Rising from modest origins, the Knights Templar grew into one of the most influential military and religious orders of the Middle Ages. Created to defend Christian pilgrims during the Crusades, they earned a reputation for courage, discipline, and fierce devotion. Their white mantles marked with red crosses became symbols of hope to Christians and fear to their enemies. Men from across Europe joined their ranks, swearing vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience in service to both faith and battle. By the 1200s, the Templars controlled vast wealth, fleets, fortresses, and thousands of warriors throughout Europe. Their power was so great that they answered not to kings, but only to the Pope himself.

Welcome to the Knights Templar of the Kingdom of Christ. The Knights Templar is a Christian chivalric and fraternal Order dedicated to faith, honor, and service. We are not connected to Freemasonry or any political movement. Our Order is ecumenical, embracing Christians from all denominations and representing the unity of Christendom as a whole. As members of the Order, we strive to uphold the timeless principles of chivalry, integrity, and Christian devotion. We are committed to living according to the highest spiritual traditions, guided by faith and respect for one another. Our members pledge themselves to the virtues of honesty, loyalty, perseverance, charity, humility, courage, and honor. These vows are not taken lightly, and we hold one another accountable in both faith and conduct, remembering the teaching: “Each day we must care for our brethren entrusted to us, for one day God will ask, ‘Where is thy brother?’” In a world where commitment and fellowship are often fleeting, this Order calls upon Knights and Ladies to live lives of purpose, dedication, and service under the Holy Trinity — the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Spread the message and light of Christ in a world that often seems overcome by darkness. While the Templars of the past fought physical battles, modern Templars are called to stand firm in spiritual ones. Dedicate yourself to acts of mercy, charity, compassion, and service to others. Work toward unity among Christians under the banner of Christ, recognizing the challenges and pressures facing the faith in today’s world. Preserve the legacy and traditions of the Knights Templar by defending Christian values through peaceful and honorable actions. Strive to live according to the principles of chivalry, encouraging one another to pursue integrity, discipline, and excellence in daily life. Support the study of history, heraldry, and the genealogy connected to the Order and its traditions. Foster friendship, loyalty, respect, and solidarity among all people, promoting a spirit of brotherhood and mutual understanding throughout the world.
